Meet Our Instructors

Yoga classes and workshops offered at Mystic Meadows Yoga Studio are led by trained certified yoga instructors. A certified yoga instructor has completed at least 200-hours of yoga training to learn yoga techniques and postures; yoga philosophy, history, ethics and lifestyle; human anatomy and physiology; proper alignment and adjustments; and safe methods of teaching yoga.

Teaching style and tradition may vary from teacher to teacher. We encourage students to explore new styles of teaching and benefit from the lessons of multiple teachers.

"Hello everyone! My name is Morgan Eby and I will be teaching a monday donation based class at Mystic Meadows! I completed Amanda’s 200hr Path of a Yogi this past July and I am so excited to start teaching a class! Before I found yoga I played tennis for 18 years and had the pleasure to play for Truman State the past 4 years. Yoga has truly given me an outlet for creativity, a way to improve my mental health, and a fantastic way to move my body with intention every day! I can’t wait to be part of your yoga journey!"

“My background is in Asthanga Yoga, with some aerial, Kunadlini and Hatha experience. I spent a week at an ashram on paradise island in the Bahamas practicing Hatha. I started doing yoga in 2010 as a way to help keep my flexibility and strength from my dance and gymnastics days. I was looking for something to help with lower back and knee joint pain. I became RYT-200 certified in 2013 from “It’s Yoga” in Cincinnati. I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and daughter.”

“Growing up as a competitive gymnast, I’ve always had a passion for movement. Fast forward to college, yoga fell into my lap as the perfect combination between fitness and mindfulness to support the stress life inevitably presents. Alongside my interest in science and continued pursuit of medicine, yoga allows me to further study the interplay between dynamic movement and health. I continue to strive to use the principles of yoga in my own life while sharing them with others!”

"I began yoga during an emotionally stressful time in my life. I found it brought me calm, friendship and self confidence. Over the years I continued taking yoga classes for these benefits as well as a gentle way to strengthen and enhance my physical being for activities like tennis, swimming, biking and farm work. I have studied various forms of yoga in Amsterdam, Austin, Eugene and New York before moving to northeast Missouri.

In 2019, I took the Yoga Teacher Training Course with an Ashtanga focus offered by Amanda Montgomery. Since then, I have led Yoga Flow and Restorative Yoga classes at Take Root Studio as well as several, 6-week Seasonally Focused Yoga Workshops at Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage.

In 2020 I completed Yoga for Trauma Sensitive Healing workshop from Simona Lederman.

All in all, I hope to encourage everyone on their yoga journey, both on and off the mat."

"Originally, I started practicing yoga in college as a form of exercise because I wanted to work out, but didn't know where to start since I no longer played softball after 12 years. I hated running and I wasn't seeing results from going to the gym. Once I started practicing yoga, I was hooked on the mind-body connection and the "work out" aspect became secondary to mindfulness, breath to movement, and an overall improvement in my mental and physical health. I immersed myself in yoga studies and began to feel feelings and become a human that I liked from the inside out. I have been teaching yoga since 2018 in all types of environments including home studios, hot yoga studios, gyms, outdoor events, festivals, and retreats. I have practiced with different teachers and guides all around the world and my goal is to be able to provide yoga and all of its amazing benefits to literally everyone who wants to join in. Personally, I am originally from Pomona, CA, then Denver, CO, and now my permanent residence is outside of Kirksville, MO with my partner, dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. I love to snowboard, backpack, and (mostly solo) travel. I love animals, plants, art, tattoos, music, and Halloween! I am vegan and I love to cook. I am currently working towards my Ph.D. in Natural Resources focusing on increasing native plants and pollinators in Missouri and working full time at ATSU as an Admissions Counselor."
