Let your Leaves Fall
“Be like a tree and let the dead leaves drop.” – Rumi
Join Amanda and Holly with Mystic Meadows Yoga and Tiffany Miller of Hillbilly Hippie Farms on an autumn yoga retreat. We will create a sacred and playful space for you to unwind and recognize, and let go of, what is no longer serving you. This retreat is for women who want to embrace the cycle of letting go, embody a new season in your life, connect inwards, invigorate your dreams, shake things up with movement and deep discussions, play in nature, eat delicious and nourishing food, laugh, rest, and relax.
Dates: Thursday, November 7, 2024, 4:00 PM – Sunday, November 10, 2024, 11:00 AM
Location: Serenity Point at the Lake of the Ozarks on historic Coffman Bend

Description:
The changing of the seasons can be a reminder to contemplate what is happening around you and to think about how you are navigating the ebbs and flows of life. Autumn is the time for a deliberate, yet natural unwinding.
During our retreat, we will use a variety of modalities, including yoga, reiki, dance, meditation, nature walks, and sound healing, to help you let go of what is no longer serving you and embrace those facets of life that have risen in priority. This may look like letting go of unnecessary emotions, feelings, habits and/or people, old thought patterns, old concepts, and ideas. By letting go of the things that no longer support you and your growth, we create space for something new. The space created will be filled with intentions of change to feel the body come alive and become empowered.
This retreat will accommodate all levels, no matter where you are on your yoga journey, we accept you as you are. Holly and Amanda will use a blend of traditional and innovative practices to promote holistic well-being that will nourish both body and soul. A significant part of this experience is the nourishment from wholefoods and mindful eating. Tiffany will craft tasty and filling vegan and vegetarian meals that will play an essential role in a transformative experience. Food directly affects the vibrancy of ourselves.
All activities on the retreat are optional! This is your time to choose how you immerse yourself in yoga, meditation, self-reflection, healthy meals, meaningful connections, and rejuvenation.
Gift yourself the time to step away from your busy fall schedule and reconnect with your true nature. Practice letting go of what no longer serves you and prepare yourself for the coming season.

Meet your retreat facilitators!
Amanda Montgomery – Experienced Yoga Instructor and Owner of Mystic Meadows Yoga Studio
|
Amanda Montgomery
“Namaste, I am Amanda! I became a certified yoga instructor in 2013 and pursued opportunities related to sustainability, awareness of self, and knowing your food as I traveled both nationally and internationally. I returned to Kirksville in 2017 and began offering yoga classes to the community and at the University. I offered my first yoga teacher training in 2018 and opened Mystic Meadows Yoga in downtown Kirksville in 2021. The studio became registered as a yoga school in February of 2022. I continue my personal mission of promoting a comprehensive awareness of self, both physical and spiritual, a more meditative lifestyle, and an acute awareness of where our food comes from and how it affects us as human beings. I have over 800 hours of training and 5000 hours of teaching.” |
Holly Findling
“Hello I am Holly! Yoga found me in 2017. I was a new college student, had joined the Missouri National Guard, and for the first time was venturing out to question everything I knew. I thought yoga was only a workout and according to army standards, it wasn’t hard enough. Savasana (the final pose in most classes) is what I inevitably kept returning to, it’s what kept me coming back to yoga. Something about doing the different poses to then lay there and rest the mind at the end was something I’d never gifted myself before. Savasana provided me with a door to the inner workings of my mind, who I was, and who I wanted to become. So, in Spring of 2022 I decided to go further and learn more about this beautiful practice called Yoga and why it did what it did for me. I completed a 200hr teacher training with Amanda at Mystic Meadows Yoga Studio and started subbing and teaching there these past years. My world was made ten times bigger from the realizations and education through that time. I went on to complete training in Spring of 2023 to become a Water Release Therapy provider and assistant teacher in Southern California (for me, this modality mixed my favorite things— water and yoga). I have also completed training in Reiki in Spring of 2024 to become a Reiki provider. I vow to be a life-long learner. With that said, I look forward to continuing my education in yoga and similar modalities. Originally from the good ole Heart of the Midwest here near Kirksville, MO my goal is to share my knowledge and training with my community. I love giving back to the community who raised me. In my classes or sessions you will be greeted with a welcoming and energetic presence. My intention for every session I facilitate is for the receiver to gain whatever it is they may need— peace, love, acceptance, connection, realization.” |

Meet your personal chef!
Tiffany Miller – Culinary Expert
|
Tiffany Miller
“Hi, I’m Tiffany Miller. I completed my associates of science in culinary arts in 2007 and cooked professionally for 7 years. I have a wide range of culinary experience including sous chef of a fine dining French fusion restaurant and managing a cheese and charcuterie shop. I continued my education pursuing a food science degree at the University of California, Davis. In the process I discovered a real passion for growing and raising quality, nutrient dense, sustainably grown foods. Upon realizing my passion, I changed my path and completed a sustainable agriculture and food systems degree. Today, my day job is working as an elementary school garden teacher. I also teach free farm to table cooking classes to the public at the Adair County Library. I provide private chef services for special social and life events. In the background, my husband and I run a farm utilizing regenerative farming practices with our 2 sons in tow. We produce and sell quality products to our community in Kirksville, MO. I do believe food is medicine and it’s very much a part of every aspect of my life. I only wish to continue to learn and share my knowledge of producing and cooking healthy, nutrient dense food alongside those in my community and hopefully beyond.” |
